Behind the Scenes of the Eddie Aikau Documentary
December 10th, 2011We’ve been really fortunate at Liquid Planet Studios to have the opportunity to be part of this project. From hearing the personal stories of those closest to Eddie Aikau to the surf contest In Memory of Eddie Aikau. It has been an inspiring project to say the least and look forward to seeing the final product from Director, Sam George and Executive Producers, Stacy Peralta and Paul Taublieb. Thank you again to the amazing crew for your hard work and to Media X International for allowing us the opportunity to work on an awesome project!

September 15th, 2011Laird Christianson Advertising, under the Anthology Marketing Group, held an all day Hawaiian Airlines photo shoot in our brand new 2,000 sq. ft. studio. With a total of 30 hard working individuals on set, including crew and talent, the shoot was a success.
Waikiki SPAM® JAM FESTIVAL 2011
May 11th, 2011How many of you were able to go to SPAM® JAM last weekend?
On April 30th, Hormel Foods unveiled live before the crowds the winner of the SPAM® Can design contest. Remember our blog post calling all graphic artists to join in on the fun of creating a specialized Hawaii label for SPAM® ? Well our contest was answered by more than 100 local graphic designers and the winner was revealed to the public. The winner of the SPAM® Can Contest in addition to $1,000 and a year’s worth of SPAM® was… Scott Kaneshiro of Mililani, Hawaii. Congratulations Scott!!!!

The Filipino Channel Multi-Cam Event
February 24th, 2011On Sunday, February 13, 2011, we participated in The Filipino Channel, Citizen Pinoy multi-cam shoot. This show brings local and immigrant Filipinos together and educates their international audiences regarding immigration questions.

Commercial in the Rain
November 16th, 2010Our LPS crew recently finished wrapping a commercial for ProService Hawaii. Unfortunately, it rained the entire day and we were unable to get the shot with the beach behind the staff, but… it’s a good thing we have such talented workers. Like magic, we were able to create light and make it look sunny. Below are a few pictures from this rainy, but fun shoot. Enjoy and look for ProService Hawaii’s commercial out now!

Hawaii Stars Presents The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation Concert of Extraoridnary Abilities
October 16th, 2010This past week, we were able to assist the Hawaii Stars’ producers with their annual Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation Concert of Extraordinary Abilities. This concert highlights exceptional people with extraordinary talents. Our crew were able to interview these inspirational people and it was difficult not to feel inspired after speaking with them. October 13th, 2010On October 8, we were able to participate in “Bieber Fever” like most of the local tweens and teenager girls at the Blasidell arena. In case you’re wondering, he really is that talented. Unlike most 16 year old boys, he knows exactly what he wants and eludes confidence that is necessary in his line of work. Good luck with the rest of your “World Tour” Justin and we hope that the ‘Bieber Fever’ continues on.

X-1 “Heroes” Battle it out in Honolulu
September 14th, 2010
We just finished shooting the X-1 World Events “Heroes” MMA Fight, it was a multi-cam production in Honolulu, Hawaii held at the Neal Blaisdell Center. The X-1 event on Saturday, September 11, featured the title bout between Nico Vitale and Kala Kolohe Hose. Other fighters included Danilo Zanollini vs. Kaleo Kwan, Dave Moreno vs. Ricky Wallace and Bryson Hanson vs. Russell Doane on the Main Card. A co-main event featured a Light Heavyweight Championship Tournament with Vitaly Shemetov (Russia) vs. Poai Suganuma (Hawaii) and Sang Soo Lee (S. Korea) vs. Roy Boughton (California). MMA continues to grow in popularity in the United States and in Hawaii and we look forward to the next event. And the winner of the main fight…Congrats to Nico Vitale!
